The Litheum Team has created a new type of consensus. We call this Proof of Performance (PoP) consensus.
Proof of Performance allows every participant to be incentivized in the blockchain network. By incentivizing everyone, not only is the production of consensus fairer, but it allows Litheum to scale to the entire world.
LitheumCore and the Litheum Wallet library are written in Rust.
Rust has been growing in popularity amongst the top system engineers and open source communities because of its superior safety, reliability, performance, concurrency support, cross-platform compatibility, and modern tooling. Rust is designed for high performance, internet scale systems. Rust, like Litheum, is the best of both worlds: superior performance and superior safety.
REVM is a cutting-edge, flexible Ethereum Virtual Machine interpreter that is easily integrated into unique blockchains.
It is already used by well-known projects such as Reth. Litheum is proud to be one of the first EVM-compatible chains to integrate this technology.
By utilizing Rust, Litheum Labs is able to tap into the remarkable cross-platform capabilities of WASM (WebAssembly).
Our wallet is designed as a streamlined layer facilitating JavaScript interoperability, seamlessly integrating with the Rust-based code that powers the Farmer (node) component in LitheumCore. This shared codebase, known as LitheumCommon, is also housed within the LitheumCore repository.
