How it all began
In 2017, the blockchain world was facing a crisis.
Many of the solutions didn’t seem to have much real innovation behind them and there didn’t seem to be a good understanding of the fundamental problems.
Clayton had been building on Ethereum and running into problems because of the price of gas and was thinking deeply about the First Principles of consensus design.
In early 2022, after years of contemplating consensus design, Clayton completed the first design of Proof of Performance and started to build a prototype.
Today, the team believes that Litheum will pave the way to a more robust, safe, and simple decentralized landscape.
