Cross-chain and Off-chain Communication

**Future Work**

It is easy to push data to a blockchain, however to facilitate fetching data from off-chain resources such as other chains or centralized services a different technique is needed.

This critical capability is needed for infrastructure or services such as oracles and bridges.

In order to support this the Litheum team is proposing to build a fetch service which leverages the base layer for its game and incentivizes nodes which we call Fetchers to request data from third parties. This data is then encrypted, added to the chain, and later revealed. Those Fetchers which agree on the result (as determined by a function the requestor provides) are rewarded.
